I've nearly outgrown one of them (they're 750 GB each),

Hi everyone. I have a flash drive that suddenly cannot be read. WHen I
put it in, the little light on it comes on like normal, but then it begins
to flash quickly and doesn't stop. Nothing shows up on the desktop. When I
plug it into a a pc it says it needs to be formatted. It worked fine
yesterday. Is there any way to recover this thing, or is everything on it

What's the *practical difference* between a Time Capsule and an AirPort
Extreme/External Drive combo? I know that a lot of folks would (in
principle) favor the former, except for the fact that it has a horrid track
record. On the other hand, I've also heard that the latter isn't supported
by Apple.

[Snip my details of PC133 vs PC100 potential compatibility issues]
If you can identify the part numbers on the individual chips, you can
probably do a Google search to identify their speed, capacity and type,
then multiply by the number of chips to get the total number of bits on
the DIMM and divide by 8 to get bytes.
