They have a very flexible RAID implementation, &lt;br&gt; and in the past, they have had very good AppleShare networking &lt;br&gt; support. &lt;br&gt; And if you want 100% Mac compatible, then get a Mac mini, and hang &lt;br&gt; a Drobo off the side :-)

  I am looking a various Network Attached Storage options and would like to &lt;br&gt; hear from people with experience in using them in a MAC environment. &lt;br&gt; I want a device that would support 4 SATA drives, but might start out with &lt;br&gt; just 2. Other desired features: &lt;br&gt; - RAID 0,1,5 &lt;br&gt; - easy expansion - hot swappable drives would be nice but not required

  It will only work as long as you keep it plugged in..... &lt;br&gt; And while you could remove the battery; it will unbalance &lt;br&gt; the laptop.

  Thanks for the information. As a side note I have a Dimm that fell out &lt;br&gt; of a fully loaded slotted G3 B&amp;amp;W tower I got on eBay. The seller was &lt;br&gt; no help in identifying what size or how it came to become lost and &lt;br&gt; loose in the tower. I am just glad it did not short anything out as it &lt;br&gt; was laying loose. Now I assume it is the correct Ram for the b&amp;amp;w tower

  I&#39;m not sure what the &amp;quot;high density&amp;quot; bit means, but as a general rule &lt;br&gt; you can use PC133 DIMMs in a computer which expects PC100, provided the &lt;br&gt; basic type is the same (unbuffered, not ECC, etc.). Parity (if present) &lt;br&gt; is usually ignored in a Mac. &lt;br&gt; There is a catch: SDRAM DIMMs have a small &amp;quot;serial presence detect&amp;quot;

  I have a B&amp;amp;W G3 that takes UNBUFFERED DIMM SDRAM Number of Pins: 168 &lt;br&gt; NON-ECC PC-100 Max size per Dimm 256MB &lt;br&gt; My question is can I use PC133 256MB Dimms also with the same specs &lt;br&gt; but also that is a high density Dimm?
