How would I delete drivers? There's nothing showing for printers in the

1) Did you delete the earlier driver before doing a new install
I would try deleting and reinstalling, again.
2) Is the install the latest one for your printer and OS?
3) Can you print a sample print directly from the printer without it
being connected to the computer (the manual should tell you how to do

I want to add that I have filled many HP97 (and HP96) carts with this
printer and previous printers. But when I purchased this cartridge
about 4 weeks ago, it was in updated packaging stating that it prints
more than previous HP97's which makes me think it might be a new
version cartridge to defeat refilling.

I have now re-installed the driver from the HP website. Now when I print

If this is only occurring with the same .pdf file, it is likely the file
is corrupt.
If it is occurring with all .pdf files and none other, it may be the
printer driver has become corrupt, load the latest version for your OS.
If it occurs regardless of program and file, try a printer reset via
front panel or software driver accessed. Then try a new or reloaded

First off, if you are only paying $10 for an ink cartridge, you are
doing OK ;-) Most brand named inkjet printer cartridges cost more than
that per cartridge.

Does the garbage only occur with a specific file, or through only the
.pdf interpreter (Abbe reader, or whatever?)
If so, it may indicate a corrupt file or a corrupt interpreter, or a
wrong reader or file version.
Try to re-download the .pdf file if possible, try another .pdf and see

I have a couple of possible leads for you.
1) my search indicates there is an inbox driver within XP (probably part
of the install disk or already loaded on your computer) for the 1120C.
Don't know if that is accurate or if the calibration tool is available
within it, but look for it.
2) There are both NT and Win 2000 drivers, one of these will often work
